Aren't fireflies such wonderful little creatures?

Have you ever seen a cluster of the cute little lightning bugs hovering aound a light source?  If you're lucky enough to have seen them you would have been amazed at how they light up the night sky...it's magcial.

To celebrate these exqusitite little insects, we've updated our firefly LED light up mason jars and they now come personalised with birthday or anniversary numbers.

All each one needs is a couple of AAA batteries and you'll soon be recreating the magic whilst you enjoy the late summer evenings, in the garden, while the sun sets.

  2. Going on honeymoon soon? We've got it covered.

    Posted on

After the stress of the big wedding day, it's traditonal for the bride and groom to celebrate their first days of marriage with a well deserved holiday.

At the beginning of your marriage, everything seems perfect. You and your partner agree on everything, you want to do the same activities on the weekends and you always look great and shiny and happy. They call this the honeymoon stage and it's a great time to get away together.

Why is it called a honeymoon?

Honeymoon was the month after a wedding, when the bride's father would give the groom all the mead he wanted. Mead is a honey beer while the Babylon calendar was a lunar calendar. The Babylonians started calling the month the "honey month" but we now call it a "honeymoon".

Should I change my maiden name to my married name on my passport for this?

You do need to at some stage but it's not neccessary straight after your wedding as long as the name on your booking/hotel reservation/airline tickets matches the name on the passport.

What's the best gifts to give a newly wedded couple?

We've got a great selection of holiday essentials and newly wed gifts that make a fantastic alternative to the usual wedding present.
